So what do you get? Design genius, that’s what! The Nighthawk takes a traditional Les Paul outline and polishes it with a deeper cutaway and a belly contour for enhanced playing comfort. It’s a unique electric in Gibson’s stable. You get a longer 25 ½” scale length for firm but twangier lows and chiming highs too. Uniquely, you have thru-body stringing with a specially designed Nighthawk bridge. Condition is very good for being a well played and loved instrument nearly 30 years of age. No breaks or repairs. Guitar is naturally relic'd from being played somewhat regularly over the years, thus has it's share of small dents, dings worming (mostly on backside of instrument), hardware patina and minor finish checking (see photos). All original with the exception of the upgraded tuners and Dunlop dual-design strap buttons. The versatile pickup configuration in this guitar tonewise is exceptional, offering a huge array of sounds. The original frets have recently been professionally crowned and polished, show minimal wear and still have lots of life left in them. The truss rod exhibits minimal adjustment and works exactly as it should. Neck is straight, action is very low and effortless to play. Guitar comes meticulously setup by one of Seattle's best pro luthiers and is ready to play with a new set of D'Addario EXL-125 09-46 strings installed and intonated.
Overall it is a very nice, solid guitar that plays phenomenally and has a palette of wonderful Gibson and Fender-esque tones.
Comes with a nice padded gig bag.
