Chinese Incised Celadon Porcelain Mei-ping Vase - Peaches, Pomegranates & Lychees
We are pleased to offer for your consideration this vintage Chinese Incised Celadon porcelain vase. This handsome vase is not an antique, but a very beautifully made modern decorative Chinese arts & craft piece to enhance your side table, cabinet or shelf. The Mei-ping or plum blossom vase is a vase with a small mouth, wide shoulders and tall body tapering smoothly to the base. The form made it appearance sometime in the 10th century and has remained popular ever since. The decorations on the vase are incised branches of three different fruit - the peach, pomegranate and lychee. Around the short collar are tiny sprigs of flowers, followed by a row of elongated lappets. Beneath the central decoration, towards the base is a row of stylized arrow shaped leaves. The underside is marked with Chinese characters and "
Zhenxin XiLian's carving
" under the glaze. We purchased this piece new and had it in a display cabinet only. We have enjoyed this piece for over 20 years, but are making changes in our home and need to find it a new home!

Measurements
: The vase stands approximately 8 inches in height. It is approximately 4-1/2 inches in diameter at the widest part of the body. The base measures 3-1/4 inches in diameter. The vase weighs approximately 1.4 lbs. All measurements are approximate, but close.
Condition
: We carefully examined this vase. NO Chips, Cracks, Nicks, Scratches, Stains, Repairs or Restorations were noted. The vase appears in "Like New" condition. Please take the time to view all the photographs for more details. Contact seller with any questions or if you require additional photographs.
