Gorgeous, Custom, Chocolate/Rawhide bridle w/Solid Sterling conchos. 5" GS bit.

Description

This beautiful Chocolate headstall with contrasting cotton stitching was custom made into a sterling silver headstall by me. I love the rugged cowboy style with rawhide and leather mixed but wanted the high end of sterling as opposed to the regular brass pieces that came on it. The braided roping reins sport six rawhide knots and two ferruled rawhide pieces. ALL rawhide is tight and in great shape. Some of the pics show it yellower than it actually is. In fact, the headstall has never been on a horse, just the bit and reins are used items. Even the curb strap is mint and has never seen the bottom of a horse's chin. I spent more than 6 months finding the right curb strap, the right reins, and the right bit to make a complete rig that I was going to enjoy on some of my larger trail rides. Though the headstall has never been on a horse it is supple from care. The leather is wonderful and substantial on this piece. No maker that I can recall but it's high quality American leather.
Headstall is 38" on the smallest hole with 5" additional it could be let out.
One 1" solid sterling domed concha at the sliding ear with blonde and black horse hair tassel.
Two 1.5" solid sterling bit end domed conchas.
One 1.5/8" buckle, One 5/8" keeper, One 3/4" by 1" tip, marked Sterling and a hallmark.
90" reins snap tip to snap tip.
The reins look dainty (lady reins) but are strong, solid, and supple. I love the drape of well broke in reins that appear feather light.
I had no plans to sell this rig but we've hit a rough patch financially and I have to let go of some of my personal pieces.
Also have some rein chains and misc silver pieces I will be letting go. Some sterling browband conchas, some champ turf design silver overlaid concha plates (not plated) for cheeks, browband or breast collars.
