    Olivia's Vintage would like to present this original 1956 Danelectro U-1 in its original Black finish. It has a great playing neck with good frets showing some wear. It's all original with the exception of the screw-mounted plastic cover over the control cavity on back. It is 100% complete and includes a very rare original Danelectro hardshell case. There's a 2 inch surface crack on the back of the neck running parallel with the grain between the 1st and 3rd fret. It is more of a cosmetic issue as it does not threaten the structural integrity of the guitar. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with nicks + dings, a chip out of the bottom strap button, minor finish checking and other cosmetic wear. All electronics work and sound great with its original lipstick pickup. All solder joints remain original and untampered with.
