Here is a very nice split reins and headstall combination.  The reins are 8 feet long and made of good quality leather and are thicker/heavier at the ends to give a nice balanced feel to the reins.  See photo's.  The head stall is custom  made to my specifications which has the throat latch set back from the head band so as to help prevent the headstall from slipping off the horses head so easily and, the cheek pieces are extra long for plenty of adjustment to allow fitting to just about any size horses head.  Unlike most store bought head stalls which never seem to have enough adjustment - and you end up having to punch more holes in the cheek pieces and hope that the cheek pieces are long enough.
