Novel rope cleat design. Designed to last life time. It is made out of special plastic vs traditional Aluminum. Plastic does not corrode. Plastic makes it easier to release the rope. Plastic does not wear out from sand like Aluminum. This plastic cleat has 5 teeth versus 3 teeth on the traditional aluminum cleat. Plastic teeth are made with offset to make rope to snake between for more grip. Teeth on Aluminum cleats are aligned and damage the rope down haul cord over time. Plastic cleat does not damage the rope because it makes the cord to snake wind between the teeth without much of squeezing. No need to replace the rigging cords so often. Two cleats on one base for convenience of rigging: left and right-handed or sail is rigged on one or another side. This is also a backup cleat because this base has two of them.
